Meet Andrew M. Prince, MD
Andrew Prince, MD, is an American Academy of Ophthalmology-certified ophthalmologist serving the residents of Manhattan's Upper East Side and Oradell, New Jersey, from his practice, Andrew M. Prince MD Ophthalmology and Ophthalmic Surgery. Dr. Prince offers customized treatments for a variety of ophthalmologic issues, including cataracts, glaucoma, and dry eye. He is fellowship-trained in advanced eye surgeries, including anterior segment surgery, cataract surgery, and surgery for glaucoma and other conditions.
In addition to his practice, Dr. Prince continues to serve the medical field and his community as counselor for the Glaucoma Research Foundation and also remains an active member of multiple organizations, including the American Glaucoma Society, New York Glaucoma Society, and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons. He also served as past president of the New York State Ophthalmological Society, and he’s held multiple leadership positions at AAO, including the Board of Trustees.
After earning his medical degree from the State University of New York Downstate College of Medicine, Dr. Prince completed his internship and residency in ophthalmology at SUNY Health Science Center at Brooklyn. He also completed additional training as a glaucoma fellow at the New York Eye Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai in New York.
Dr. Prince takes a team approach to treatment and enjoys working closely with each patient to find solutions for their ophthalmologic conditions. He is known for his high standard of excellence, compassionate care, his surgical expertise, and his dedication to preserving eyesight and general eye health.
